5/6/21 - This is a rare Walther P.38 with 480 code on slide and frame, and it still has the original, matching magazine and grips! The 480 code pistols were the first serially produced P.38s made by Walther. There were only 7,300 produced, and this one has the earlier, round lanyard ring. This particular example is pretty early, but it's especially rare for having the matching magazine. A comparatively disproportionate amount of this variation are still found with their original magazine, and this one also has the matching, original grips. Pistol is all original and correct with some high edge wear on muzzle and both sides of the slide. Also has some finish loss on front strap and trigger guard. Strong, shiny bore. Fully functional, including de-cocker.
